Buzzaround
A clone of the 1966 Baldwin Burns Buzzaround, a very rare and highly sought after fuzz pedal.
****This pedal is made to order and will ship in about 4-6 weeks.
I build these on tag board using the exact layout of the original units or vero board. This one has carefully matched NOS germanium transitors and hand selected new old stock capacitors and resistors.
The Baldwin Burns Buzzaround was a fuzz pedal made my the burns company in the mid to late 60s. It’s a very rare pedal with very few surviving examples.
The Buzzaround is famous for having 3 unusual controls; Tambre, Balance, and Sustain. Each control effects the overall tone, grit, and volume in different ways while at the same time being interactive with one another. This allows for an extremely wide variety available sounds. It can go from bright and raspy fuzz tones to warm and harmonically rich bassoon like rumble, all the way to a honky cocked wah type overdrive tone. It’s incredible addictive to fiddle around with and discover new sounds.
The Buzzaround is heavily associated with Robert Fripp during the early King Crimson years. It’s also said that the Troggs may have also used the Buzzaround.
