Orbiter (Fuzz Face)
The Orbiter is a recreation of the 1966 Arbiter Fuzz Face®. A fat, creamy, and harmonically rich classic fuzz tone famous for its versatility and impeccable clean up. Although it’s circuit is nearly identical to the Tone Bender® MK1.5 it was based on, it’s altered bias point and larger 500k volume pot lend to it a much fatter and smoother distortion with a more refined and delicate attack. Blue Cheer’s “Summertime Blues” is a prime example of what this bad boy is capable of.
** These are made to order. Will ship within 4-6 weeks.
** This pedal uses vintage style PNP germanium transistors which are powered by negative voltage, thus the power supply must be an isolated source, such as a 9v battery or 9v power adapter from an isolated source. The power supply cannot be daisy chained with other pedals.

** I tune all my pedals with integrity to be as close to the originals as possible. I don’t add any modern tweaks or “improvements” to the circuit.

** Please note I am in no way affiliated with Sola Sound Dunlop. I am using their trademarked names as a mere reference to the circuit that the Orbiter Fuzz is based on. For more information about the originators of these wonderful pedals, Please visit Macari's Website and Dunlop Website
What’s Inside:
Built on a Arbiter Fuzz Face replica PCB
Vintage new old stock and/or salvaged capacitors intentionally selected for quality and tone
Vintage new old stock and/or salvaged carbon comp resistors hand selected for performance and aesthetic quality from a mix of vintage Allen-Bradley, Piher, Iskra, and others.
2 carefully matched vintage germanium transistors. Transistors are hand selected by me through a rigorous tuning process. Transistors are chosen based on how they perform in the circuit. I tune all my pedals with integrity to be as close to the originals as possible. I don’t add any modern tweaks to the circuit.
A signal path wired up in the same layout as the original units.
High quality hardware including full size alpha pots, Cliff UK style jacks, stainless steel battery holster, and a carling footswitch.
Housed in a hand painted Hammond 1590P1 diecast aluminum enclosure (6x3.3.x2). Color may vary.
