Telegram MK1.5

from $265.00

The Telegram MKI.V is my take on the legendary 1966 Tone Bender® MK1.5.

A lush and thick two-transistor fuzz loaded heavy mids and a tight low end. A rarity and a legend, and it's beautifully mean. It’s got some good bite with a bridge pickup or rich harmonics with your neck pickup while being very responsive to the natural dynamics to the output of your guitar. Go from full out fuzz to crunchy overdrive tones with a simple adjustment of your guitar's volume control. A terrifically versatile buzzer and an absolute necessity for any collection!

** These are made to order. Will ship within 2-4 weeks.

** This pedal uses vintage style PNP germanium transistors which are powered by negative voltage, thus the power supply must be an isolated source, such as a 9v battery or 9v power adapter from an isolated source. The power supply cannot be daisy chained with other pedals.

** I tune all my pedals with integrity to be as close to the originals as possible. I don’t add any modern tweaks to the circuit.

What’s Inside:

  • Built onto authentic Vero board utilizing the exact component layout of the original units.

  • Vintage new old stock and/or salvaged capacitors intentionally selected for quality and tone

  • Vintage new old stock and/or salvaged resistors hand selected for performance and aesthetic quality from a mix of vintage Allen-Bradley, Piher, Iskra, and others.

  • 2 carefully matched vintage germanium transistors. Transistors are hand selected by me through a rigorous tuning process. Transistors are chosen based on how they perform in the circuit. I tune all my pedals with integrity to be as close to the originals as possible. I don’t add any modern tweaks to the circuit.
